WEEKEND WONDERS FOR SIRECAM GRADUATES

As Royal Ascot finished up for another year, Sirecam graduates continued the excitement across the country. Richard Fahey set the tone with a convincing win with the lovely Henrythenavigator gelding NUNO TRISTAN at Redcar in the H Jarvis 138th Handicap on Saturday.  Nuno Tristan was consigned by Camas Park Stud at the Tattersalls October yearling sale in 2013 and was subsequently purchased for 115,000gns by Blandford Bloodstock.

Sirecam graduate MERHOOB (Cape Cross) later made it a Saturday double when landing his third win of the season in the John Mayne Handicap at Lingfield. The John Ryan trained gelding was consigned by Airlie Stud at the Tattersalls October sale in 2013 and purchased by Jamie Lloyd for 210,000gns.

The final day of Royal Ascot saw the brilliant Galileo colt HIGHLAND REEL beaten only a head in the Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes. The ground paid tribute to many over the course of the week but Highland Reel showed real class for the Coolmore team. Highland Reel was bred by the Hveger Syndicate and sold by Camas Park Stud at the Tattersalls October sale in 2013 to John Warren for 460,000gns.

The inform Ed Dunlop stable were present with MANJAAM at Down Royal racecourse. The Tamayuz colt finished up second in the Magners Ulster Derby and continues his fantastic three-year-old season, racking up three wins and two seconds from his six starts. Ballylinch Stud sold Majaam at Goffs Orby Sale in 2014 to Charlie Gordon-Watson for only 50,000 Euros.

Sirecam graduate BARSANTI also had a great run in the listed Castel Stakes at Pontefract on Sunday where he finished third. The Champs Elysees gelding has had a dazzling season when winning all three of his previous starts this season for the Varian Stable in the infamous yellow and black silks of owner Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum. Barsanti was consigned by Glenvale Stud at the Tattersalls October sale in 2013 and purchased again by Charlie Gordon-Watson for 170,000gns.
